Nobody said that my artist should wear t-shirt and shorts i would agree with this because you wouldn't see hip hop/rap artist wearing those type of clothing this would probably be because they would want to be covered up. Of course there are some occasions where they would wear a t-shirt and shorts example would be if they are taking a picture at the beach or a place hot.

I asked them for a good age for the artist i asked them this because i didn't want to pick a bad age for the audience that would't make any sense and for the answers i got from the form shows that my artist should be middle aged and no older than 27 and no younger than 17.
Why this information was useful was because it would't make sense if my artist was old because most popular hip-hop/rap artist are middle aged and it would help me understand that my audience know that as well because picking an age for your artist isn't easy. most hip hop artist that are older are normally past their age of making music and just live theirs lives without making music.

How they can get the audience attention is by hashtags. Hashtags are good way to find out what is trending in the world on social media this is a good way of getting their attention. Another way would be by other musicians they don't have to be from the same genre if another artist promotes your upcoming songs they would be a great way of getting the attention of the audience. An example would be pushing P from guna which is a hashtag that went viral it was also made a sound on a popular app called tiktok which also boosted the artist album attention and the song
Are there any specific ways of speaking / communicating that these artists use in your chosen genre?
Yes there are ways one of the most popular ways would be commenting under the post of the artist because he might reply to your comment another way would be through. They can also talk to them through stuff like an radio advert or podcast. It is really hard to communicate with a artist it is hard to communicate to any celeb but sometimes you would see some artist replying to a comment under their post this could be someone asking a question or showing some support under their post. This is the best way you can try to speak to an artist or you could try speak to the on a radio if they go on and answer questions but it is really hard to speak to an artist considering they are famous.
Where do this genre normally advertise their products?
They normally advertise their products through social media on apps like instagram mainly they would post stuff like their latest merch from an album and they might sometimes post it on twitter because that is another app that have a lot of artist from the hip-hop/rap genre. The main reason it is through social media is because they have a large following there over millions so it would be a great easy and successful way to promote their products.
The example of the left shows popular artist lil baby promoting one of his up coming albums the voice of the heros on instagram but he has also used hastags to promote it even more
How is cohesion created through the different products (think colour schemes props costumes etc)?
How i am going to use cohesion is i will make a logo so that people will know that it belongs to the artist i will use colours like black and white for the logo simple colours or a bit of red so that it can stand out.
The type of products i will make are are t-shirts and hoodies most of the colours will be simple colours like black and white but with unique designs.
The logo that i designed for my artist was his artist name but short the logo is called QD this is from the artist name Q-Dubs. I will make most of my stuff in a dark theme because most hip-hop artist album covers and tour posters are normally dark or they will use low-key lighting instead of high-key this will make my album cover and tour poster look more like it belongs in the hip hop genre.

i Would use a bold font style for stuff that i want to stand out for example a title and important stuff like the tour dates and more. I will use a regular font when talking about information that isn't that important

The tour poster on the left has the words in a bold font the main word that they want the viewers to see are in a bold and big font which is the artist name making it lear to the audience.

Genre : The genre that i picked was hip-hop rap this is a really popular genre of music and might be the most popular genre of music in this generation. The reason i picked this genre is because it is my favourite and i know a lot about it the type of rapers how they dress how they act in interviews and how they like to promote their upcoming stuff like merch or upcoming songs or albums.
artist name : the artist name will be Q-Dubs i choses this name because it was the most popular name in the survey i did early.
The reason i picked this name was because hip-hop/rap artist have names that you wouldn't see with any other genre of music examples are 42 dugg, kodak black and est gee sometimes these types of names mean something but most of the time it is just a nick name for the rappers which most artist have.
colour scheme : the colours that i want to use are mainly dark colours like black but i also want some red and white.
The reason i wanted to use dark colours was because it is popular in the hip-hop/rap genre and it might help some people understand what type of genre it is one idea i had was to make it black and white this is because there are manny popular album covers that are in black and white like the voice of the heroes and bigger than life and death.
album name : the album name i picked was natural state i heard the name natural state in a song from a hip-hop/rap artist and i liked the way it sounded so i made it my album name.
The reason i picked this name is because my artist wears a mask and the album name is called natural state so he doesn't show how he looks but talks about natural state.
Platform : my main platform for my artist would be instagram this is because most hip-hop/rap artist have instagram some would have other apps like twitter for example but most of them mainly have instagram and because instagram is such a big platform it is a easy place to promote stuff like a poster a podcast or a up coming album.
Release date : the date i choose to release the album was august 21 2022. This is because this is the holidays for a lot of people time for people to have fun and take a break from stressful stuff in their lives and because it is mostly teens that listen to hip-hop/rap they will easily find out about it because they are on a holiday. If i picked to release the album on a date most teens have school they might even know that i am going to drop an album because they might be really focused on their work.
Costumes : the type of costumes my artist will wear is mainly tracksuits and some designer clothing to go with it to show that he has money i will also get my artist to wear a ski mask in his photos.
The artist wears a mask so that he doesn't show his face to the public because he wants to keep his identity and not give it out to the public.

In the radio show they will be talking about the artist and about his album coming out and he will play a little bit of the song the type of songs that he will get asked about is why he picked that date for his album to be dropped and why it is called that.
He will ask if there is anything to help promote the album even more that is when the artist will talk about the his instagram as well promoting that at the same time then he will talk more about his merch that he will release a few days before the album.

This is my album cover. I put the album image in the middle because i want people to focus on that the most so if it is in the middle and a big image it is going to stand out the most in the album cover. I put the album name on top of the page because it is another thing that i want to stand out how i know this will stand out is because when most people see an image the will start from the top to the bottom so the album name will catch their attention.
One thing i like about the album cover is the way i placed things it is different from other album covers.
One thing i dislike is where the artist name is some people might not know who the artist is and then would not listen to the album because they might thing it is a random artist so it was a risky move put the artist name at the bottom of the cover.
This is my drawn tracklist for my album the image is the picture of the artist but his face is next to his head and where his face should be is filled with stars i want the image to cover most of the page so that it can attracted attention from people because if the image was small it might not stand out compared to a bigger image. The songs on the album i will design them so that they look bold so that it stands out i will put it in a right colors like red because i want everything else on the page to be dark.
The track list title will also be in bold but it won't be in light colors like the songs on the album this is because i want it to stand out but not stand out more than the songs on the album.
This is my drawn track list it is similar to my digital one because i really like the layout of it and once i create it i think that it is going to look.
The image in the center will take up the whole page but that doesn't mean that they won't be able to see the track lists. I will make sure that the track list is in front of the image and clear so that it won't be hard for people to see it.
I will put the album name and artist name at the top of the page probably on the right side but the artist name would be below the album name. i would want the album name to stand out more than the artist name just to make it look better but that doesn't mean you won't be able to see the artist name it will still be clear who the artist is.
This is my digital tour poster my digital poster is just like my drawn tour poster this is because i like the placement of where i put stuff an example would be the tour locations and tour dates i put it at the bottom of the page but i am going to make it big so that it stands out more than the artist name and tour name which aren't as big as the tour locations and tour dates because the tour locations and dates would be the most important thing on the tour poster because it holds valuable information but stuff like the image is there for design the reason the image is big is because i want a nice design on the tour image to make it look good for people i want to put colours that stand out to people walking by so i would use bright colours to design the image.
I put the tour name on the side because i feel like the information isn't that important as the rest of the stuff but i still want it to be see and to do that i will make it look different for the stuff on the poster what i mean by that is change of colour and a different font style.
For the artist name i would probably keep the design simply because it is already at the top of the poster so it could stand out already because of that i would probably use the same colours to match the poster.

evaluation of my campaign
In the planning for the releases of my campaign i picked summer time because that is when most people are free and aren't doing much school kids will have a break most people will be on holiday so they have time to listen to the album and i picked the 26th because on that day no other album will come out or nothing that will put my album at risk regarding it fighting for a good position against someone else's or event to keep the momentum of my album going the artist it will keep talking about it on his social media accounts like instagram and on his website as well it will keep people updated he will also start a hashtag so no one will forget about the album the artist will also post some parts of the songs in post to keep everyone interested in the album.
how i am optimising publicity throughout my campagin is i created a social media account to keep my publicity everyone has some form of social media weather that be snapchat twitter or instagram if my artist has one it will help his publicity in good ways it can help reach new fans and help people know when new stuff is coming out. i also made an artist website this is where he can post more inoration about up coming stuff you can see more of the artist merch on the website you can also see more information about the artist like his tour post with more information about it and his album cover with more information.

Yes i created some extra components to help help reach my target audience one of the extra components i created was a social media accout out of all the social media accounts i decided to create an instagram account because most hip-hop/rap artist have an instagram account this can help me rech my target audience because most teenagers that are 16 plus have instagram so it will be easy to reach them if the artist has an instagram account. Instagram is a app that most people in my target audience would have so if my artist has an instgram account it will easliy reach them to help get their attention so they can send to their friends and so on
These are instagrams of famous hip hop artist this is only a few of them and as you can see they all have over 10 million followers this helps back up my idea that instagram is one of the best places for artist to promote their up coming albums or merch or anything else.
You can also see that some other rappers follower some of the rappers shown there this could help other rappers promote other rappers in the same music genre and most teenagers have instagram than adults that are past their early 30 most of these artist followers are teens and people in their 20s.
The instagram account on the left the artist is called lil durk and in one of his post you can see that he is promoting another hip hop artist called future he recently dropped and album and lil durk helped promote it.
My target audience is from the age 16 plus mainly males how my campagin appeals to them is because most male teenagers the age 16 plus listen to hip-hop/rap so i did most stuff that hip-hop/rap artist would do i put my artist in a simulair style hip-hop/rap artist like to wear desginer so i put my artist in desginer clothes to make him look more like an hip-hop/rap artist because most of their fans like to see how their artist dress another way is the merch that i created most of the people in my target audience aged mainly the teenagers most teenagers wear tracksuits so that is one reason i created a tracksuit because i know that most teenagers and the t-shirts is something that anyone can wear where age doesn't matter that is one way i can appeal to my target audience.

On the right is my merch that i created for my hip hop artist they both look alike a plain white t shirt with so i wanted to make my merch like that of other hip hop artist to fit in with the genre
the colour scheme i was going for was very dark colours like black grey dark blue colours like that but for text i would go for more bright colours so that they are easy to read and they stand out i ended up doing that for my album cover the background for the artist was black going with the dark style and dark clothing to match but the writting was red this s so that it can stand out and so it will be easy to read the red also goes well with the black. For my tour poster i went wth the same colour theme as my album cover this is so that i keep cohesion in both my album cover and tour poster but for my artist websie i went for more a classic look with a white background just to add something different and give a new look i wanted the website to look professional
For my album cover i used dark colors when editing the cover i made the cover even more darker and for the text of the album cover i made it red because i wanted something to stand out in the album cover so i made it bright red

How i created a brand for my artist is i looked at other popular hip-hop/rap artist get build up an idea for my artist like names of different artist the way they dress album covers and merch all help me build up and brand my artist most artist liked to dress in designer clothing so for my album cover tour post and social media post you can see my artist wearing designer clothing for the name of my artist i had different names that i wanted to pick that i think fitted in the hip-hop/rap genre and i asked people and at the end i went with the name q-dubs
All my created products have a way to link in with my target audience one way is the merch i created a tracksuit most teens nowadays like to where tracksuits so if their favorite artist has drop some tracksuits they would buy it and the t-shirts are for all ages a t-shirt is a type of clothing that anyone can wear no matter what age or gender so it fits in my target audience the beanie is another example it can be worn by any gender and any age the type of merch i made i made sure that it can be worn by not only my target audience but people outside my target audience.
